Picking the right size is crucial for optimal support and performance. Here is what to look for to ensure your belt is sized perfectly:

If the Ends Overlap, it's OK!
If the padded ends of your belt overlap when secured, that is perfectly fine. The belt will still provide the proper intra-abdominal pressure you need.

If there's a small gap between each end,
it's also OK!
It is completely fine if the ends don't quite touch, as long as the velcro is firmly attached. Just make sure the belt is securely fastened.

If the end touches the buckle, the belt is too big!
If you pull the strap tight (using the two-handed tightening method covered in our video) and the padded end of the belt runs into the buckle before you can get it secure around your waist, your belt is likely too big.

How To Properly Use The New Element 26 Hybrid Leather Weightlifting Belt
Step 1: Thread the Buckle.

Put the belt on and loop the strap through the locking mechanism. Pull the strap completely through so it is ready to tighten.
Step 2: The Two-Handed Tighten.

To get the belt perfectly snug, hold the underlying side of the belt against your body with one hand while pulling the strap tight with your other hand.
Step 3: Leave Room to Brace

Find a tightness that feels secure but still allows you to breathe and slide your hand inside the belt.
Step 4: Lock It Down

Once you have the perfect tension, bring the velcro strap all the way over and press it down.
